A colourful, informative app that guides you through every stage of pregnancy – right through to helping you choose your baby’s name and announcing the birth to your friends.
Pregnancy can be a long nine months. This app helps plot the progress, providing expectant parents with an easy way of recording important events and dates, and offering instant answers to all their medical questions. Its community section lets you talk to others of a similarly stork-awaiting state – between that and the reassuring info, it’s a real pre-natal pal.
Graphically the app is very well designed, its menu layout is kept simple so as not to cause any unnecessary and unwarranted annoyance. Then there’s content – everything those in The Club could need from the first confirmation to delivery day comprising pages of information on the mechanics of pregnancy, bodily changes to expect, the development of the baby on a daily basis, a journal to keep, a photo album for 'Bumpy', a kick counter, a baby name database and an online carrying community for e-chat with other expectants.
We love that the app encourages you to chart the progress of yourself and the baby, the size of which it compares to various fruit and vegetable. Some of the health tips can become rather repetitive, but we guess it’s tough to find nine months' worth of daily advice.
The app's social element is also excellent, from the aforementioned community to the ability to easily announce your baby’s birth via Facebook, Twitter or email.
Covering all bases, Baby Bump has clearly been conceived and designed by someone with excellent insider knowledge on the needs of the knocked-up.
Superb advice served up in a friendly way, this is an essential app if you or yours are expecting.
