iPhone fitness app gets a reboot, too
Well this is a sight for sore calf muscles, Nike+ Running has at long last made its Android debut. The health and fitness app had been an iPhone exclusive for some time but it’s now available for Google-powered smartphones too.
The Android unveiling of Nike+ Running coincides with the app being given a reboot and name change from Nike+ GPS to its new moniker. Both apps share the same interface and several new features, such as the ability to start a new run from anywhere in the app and compare your recent jog to the past seven times you’ve hit the road.
If you’re a fitness fanatic looking to get your hands on Nike+ Running, you’ll need to make sure your handset is running the Gingerbread incarnation of Android at the very least. This shouldn’t be an issue if you purchased your smartphone over the past year or so, however.
Once you’ve downloaded the free app, you’ll get access to all the usual run-sharing social media options so you can boast about your Adonis-like training regime to Facebook and Twitter users. They’ll love you for it, honest.
Will you be giving Nike+ Running a download? What’s your favourite fitness app? Do us a favour and scrawl your thoughts in the comments section below.
